I had always looked at the bright red petals of the Poinsettia. But I happened to look closely at the center reproductive parts, and this is what I saw. The center is the plant unaltered. I did a bit of abstract treatment to the petals.
I began my photography career doing feature stories for local newspapers and magazines in Michigan. I have also done commercial studio and public relations work. But I always looked for creative imagery and image-making techniques, even while I was doing assignment work. I attended every seminar I could, and read dozens of books by creative professionals over the years.
