Took a photo of these orchids and rendered them as a digital painting. I wanted the effect to subtle to maintain the integrity of original underlying photo. This image was also rendered as an abstract rendering in the Abstract category.
A string of vibrant white orchids with rich burgundy centers stands out against a blurred green background. The flowers exhibit a delicate translucence, suggesting a fresh and serene environment.

I began my photography career doing feature stories for local newspapers and magazines in Michigan. I have also done commercial studio and public relations work. But I always looked for creative imagery and image-making techniques, even while I was doing assignment work. I attended every seminar I could, and read dozens of books by creative professionals over the years.
