I Photographed this Maple tree on a Fall day in front of a house where I lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Some 50 years later i scanned the 35 mm slide and did this digital oil paint rendering to enhance the fiery orange and yellow leaves. When I took a trip down memory lane by way of Google Maps, the tree is still there.
I began my photography career doing feature stories for local newspapers and magazines in Michigan. I have also done commercial studio and public relations work. But I always looked for creative imagery and image-making techniques, even while I was doing assignment work. I attended every seminar I could, and read dozens of books by creative professionals over the years. The work I am presenting here is a result of that constant search to capture and share what I see and experience and create. It is a never-ending passion.
