Artist's Description
Took a photo of these wildflowers and created two digital oil painting versions. One as an abstract underpainting and a more detailed overpainting. I combined the two versions to create the final version. The brush strokes are thick and textural, giving the impression of depth and vibrancy to the natural scene.

I began my photography career doing feature stories for local newspapers and magazines in Michigan. I have also done commercial studio and public relations work. But I always looked for creative imagery and image-making techniques, even while I was doing assignment work. I attended every seminar I could, and read dozens of books by creative professionals over the years.
