Artist's Description
I shot these flowers after a jog where I live. When you look at wildflowers to photograph, you have to look at the possibilities. These flowers are about 2-3 inches long. So you have to look closely to find them and see what they might become in a macro shot. After I photographed them, I generated this abstract rendition, which I hope gives a unique view without compromising the integrity of the original image.
Vibrant flowers in shades of pink, purple, and yellow are closely grouped together, nestled among lush green leaves. A cluster of small yellow blooms forms the centerpiece, surrounded by larger petals creating a symmetrical and harmonious composition.

I began my photography career doing feature stories for local newspapers and magazines in Michigan. I have also done commercial studio and public relations work. But I always looked for creative imagery and image-making techniques, even while I was doing assignment work. I attended every seminar I could, and read dozens of books by creative professionals over the years.
